Summary
When the Sith who takes Vette from the pens tears off Vette's collar the second she can, it throws her for a loop. She's not sure what to think of Megara, but she knows she sorta likes her.
Which is a problem, because Megara seems sure that Vette ought to leave as soon as possible.

Summary
There have been many lies in Asami Sato's life. Some she lived, and others fed to her. But, since you can't stop progress anymore than you can stop the world from spinning, unraveling the truth, about herself and everything around her, always takes a back seat to the current crisis. Of course, the strongest and most debilitating lie of all is the one she forces upon herself.
Since, to focus on herself would be unforgivable. Selfish. Arrogant. If so many are suffering, how can she allow herself to grieve? To put her own well-being first? To be happy? She can't. Not yet. But maybe, once all of this is over...
Maybe.
And yet, no matter how hard she fights, or how clever she is, she can never turn that "maybe" into "now".
This is the story of how Asami Sato went beyond the impossible, time and time again.
From her lowest point to her greatest triumph. Drowning in denial and grief to shattering the laws of reality to find happiness.
How she turned "maybe" into "forever".
Loosely inspired by the American folk tale of "John Henry the Steel Driving Man"
