After winter, purses are always thinner. Crops are yet to be harvested, animals yet to be sold. More than once, Geralt is offered alternative payments for his quests, as Jaskier is for his songs. Some of them are reasonable, some of them are…not.
Last time, Geralt got offered one of the alderman's daughters as a wife. Again, it wasn’t the first time, but it was the first time that Jaskier put his foot down. Literally. Things changed that day, subtly.OR; Panda asked for a one word prompt and made them kiss about it

Summary
The house is a complete mess. Such is the way of parenthood, pick up one thing and find three in their place. In this case, Geralt finds his husband on the floor, stretched out as a star fish. There is strewn about traces of what could be cake batter, and a cucumber, and their girls are giggling behind Geralt's back from the doorway, cheeks smeared with flour or possibly egg. Or both.
"Is daddy dead?" Essi whispers loudly, she is still learning how loud a whisper is supposed to be.
OR; This author wants fluff and Geralt to call Essi and Ciri "my girls" so here, family fluff. Not at all based on the gif where Joey is stretched out on the floor after the big Cakemageddon. Happy day <3

“Don’t be mad, but I made some changes. I think your story is happier than you give it credit for,” Essi says, stealing his knife to steal some more, dipping it into the jar of jam and licking it off, like a child.
“What do you mean?” Jaskier asks, taking the knife back and repeating the action for himself. He’s not sure what’s so happy about his constant longing for Geralt. Sure, loving Geralt is one of the best choices he’s made, but sometimes… sometimes it’s hard to love alone.

Geralt might be able to live with his protectiveness, possessiveness and endless need to please Jaskier, but he can not take his reactions to Jaskier’s gratitude. Because every time Jaskier says the words “thank you, Geralt” he gets unbearably turned on. He can feel his pupils dilate, his breath and heart going faster, he even pulses in his pants, like it was some dirty word that left Jaskier's mouth.
