    Summary

Erik’s warnings ring clear in Eleven’s ears as he stands, fingers trembling, frozen to the spot under Krystalinda’s magic. It had been a forewarning that the thief had repeated multiple times during their trek through the Hekswood: “The Sniflheim region is nothing to scoff at. Whatever you do, don’t fall asleep or lose consciousness out here. You might never wake up.”

    ---

The Luminary collapses in the Hekswood, and Erik realizes his feelings for him in the wake of a near tragedy.

    Summary

Kiefer is very good at running away from things that bother him. So it is a surprise to no one that on the day of his mother's funeral, he decides to do exactly that.

Alone with his grief and frustration, Kiefer has never felt more hopeless. But then, a boy bearing Fish Bits and a heart filled with hope reminds Kiefer that no dream is too far out of reach, as long as you have the drive.

And Kiefer, if anything, is drive personified.

Jesse’s upbringing was… different than most. Being found and raised by five of the most legendary heroes certainly didn’t help.

But when the end of the world is at stake, it seems she’ll have to return to what she once knew, whether she wants to or not.
