Summary
Dating and romance aren't things that Aventurine has much experience with. Sex is fine, he can do sex, he's great at sex actually, but as soon as feelings are involved he kind of... falls short. With so little real world experience in the subject, Aventurine has always just assumed that that sort of thing wasn't for him, and now he finds himself with a crush and no idea how to deal with it.
So maybe he decides to take some advice from the internet because he's finally lost all hope in his own capabilities. And maybe he knows it's really shitty advice as soon as he reads it, but it's all he's got.
Or: Aventurine tries to win Sugilite's favour with food. It works... sort of?

Aventurine's face falls. "A shame," he says softly. Too softly. He looks at Sugilite with longing that makes even Sugilite's cold, hungry, heart ache and it hurts more than words can explain. "I have."

He's right. Sugilite knows he's right.

Come to think of it, considering how prickly Sugilite can be… "When was the last time you got a hug?" Aventurine asks curiously, turning to peer at Sugilite, though all he sees is fluffy white hair and a face buried against his neck.
Sugilite shrugs half-heartedly, mumbling against Aventurine's skin. It tickles and Aventurine lets himself smile and rolls his eyes, scratching again at Sugilite's scalp. It's not like he's going to remember this.
"Do you want a hug?" he asks playfully, trying to coax Sugilite away from his shoulder.
This time, he feels Sugilite nod, arms tightening around Aventurine's waist.
Or: Sugilite gets drunk and Aventurine deals with the consequences.
