Summary
Tav has forgotten more lifetimes than he remembers.
OR: The excessively dramatic, self-indulgent semi-meta retelling of BG3, with a half-elf Tav who doesn’t actually know who he is anymore. After centuries of looping, what he does know are the creatures he has loved and those he has destroyed - not always mutually exclusive - and that he's very, very tired.

Summary
The longer he stands there the more his eyes adjust to the brightness, bringing the rest of the world into focus. He stands atop a rocky cliff face overlooking some wide body of water - river or ocean he can’t quite tell. Has water always been that blue? Have trees always been that green? For several long minutes he just stares at the sunlit world, taking in colors he forgot existed and letting the warmth seep into his bones.
Voices coming from down the path jar Astarion back to the present. To the unpleasant reality of his situation. Sudden ability to walk in the sun notwithstanding, everything else is shit. A quick inventory of his person reveals no serious injuries from the crash - lucky - but also that he is bereft of everything save the clothes on his back. And the little knife at his belt. M’keon’s gift.
Shit, M’keon.
Scenes from an alternate ending of The Green Man and the Vampire that follows the game plot.
