Summary
“...So we know that acting isn’t part of your repertoire, but that is ok.” Said the insistent pest through the headset. “We will have an acting coach on standby to help you.” Like that was a good thing. If anything, it would only highlight how it might not be the brightest idea to bring a model–whose not even interested in acting–into a costly movie like this one.

Summary
Leon groaned softly in his sleep. He tried to move but found a heavy weight around him keeping him secure, trapped. For a moment, he tensed up until he felt those scarred lips move against the mark on the back of his neck. A stuttering sigh passed his lips as he focused on breathing in his alpha’s scent.

Summary
Smooth, foreign music played in the background, providing the kind of white noise that Leon needed. He checked his watch and lifted his head as a barmaid set down a fresh glass of whisky for him.
“Thank you.” He flashed her a smile. She returned it with a polite one before tending to the rest of the patrons. His eyes followed after her slender form before wandering to the other patrons. He’s an ocean and continents away from home, and the bar scene is still pretty much the same except a little smokier. Unfortunately for him, that was all it took to tug loose some dusty memories of a village ravaged by a crazed cult and mind-controlling parasite.

The medical machine hummed steadily in the room as the nurse finished their round, giving some privacy to the patient and her visitor.
"You don't have to hover, Chris." Rebecca chided, "The vaccine worked. I'm ok."

Summary
A storm raged outside, making the windows shudder as thunder let out a deep, low rumble. It was as if nature decided to reflect just how Krauser was feeling at that moment. His room was dark, with the lights outside bleeding through the windows. Every so often, the room would light up with every lightning strike. Krauser sat upright, unable to sleep, and it had nothing to do with the storm.

Summary
The tension was palpable in the room as people waited patiently. All of them were practically salivating as soon as the invitation to the auction arrived in their inbox. More precisely, they were salivating over what was being offered for sale: The Co-Founder of the BSAA, their Golden Soldier.

Summary
And Nai didn't want any of it.
His ears were still ringing even though the fire alarm had long stopped. He stood in the middle of his living room watching as strangers in fireproof uniforms doused his former Christmas tree and ruined carpet with another hit from the fire extinguisher.

Summary
No more songs. Not even a whisper of that annoying chirp. Instead, the Royal Shimmering lay limp on the ground with wings spread like it was expecting an embrace. It didn’t matter that it had a broken right wing. Across the ombré purple feathers was a crimson trail that led up its gaping neck.

Summary
The full moon hung high in the sky, illuminating the garden and the koi pond. It would look majestic were it not for the overwhelming silence that consumed the estate. Not even a cricket dare to sing.
Quietly, a young scholar walked the empty walkway, each step sounding like a whisper in the dead silence. He tightly closed his hanfu as a cool breeze stroked his cheek and hair. He raised his expressive eyes to see the archway and the silhouette of a tall figure resting against the pillar. As he drew closer, he picked up other details, like the sheathed swords that rested on the older man’s waist.

Summary
A loud metallic clatter jolted Hwei from his slumber. He stared in the dark, heart pounding in his chest as he stilled his breath and strained his ears, but could only hear the sound of the rain splashing against his bedroom window. A slow exhale slipped through his parted lips as he slowly climbed off his warm bed and onto the cold floor. He didn't bother with the lights as he slowly stepped out of his cluttered bedroom for his even more cluttered living room.

Summary
Thunder rumbled softly in the distance, and the rain trickled down the windows. The view over the city used to be breathtaking, but now it was muddled and gray. Legato was grateful they managed to finish the work before the storm arrived, leaving them to enjoy the rainy afternoon. It was the kind of peace that Nai needed.

Summary
"Welcome back, Hwei. Did you have a good vacation?" Hwei turned to see one of his colleagues and smiled.
"I did. How's everything here?" Hwei asked.
"As well as could be. Oh, Theo and Markus have been giving the morning shift some grief, so be sure everything is locked up before you leave." She warned.
"Thank you for letting me know. Have a good night!" He flashed her a tired smile before heading in. He nodded toward the security guard and started to weave through the familiar halls. The motion lights switched on, and he gazed up through the glass walls to see the schools of fishes passing overhead, along with the rays and the smaller sharks. Oh, he has missed this.

Summary
The chains scraped across the ground, and the light from his lantern burned softly, keeping the cell lit.
A long, drawn sigh passed his chapped lips. His nails scraped and dug into the young scalp, keeping them steady. Everything has been going deliciously well. First was a buffoon that tried to challenge him, then a promotion, the keystone, and soon an assistant. It was not just any assistant either.

Summary
The moonlight shimmered over the sea as it gently rocked the boats in the harbor. An old fisherman yawned as he waited to feel the telltale sign of a catch. He scratched the back of his neck and glanced over to see a group of men hauling supplies near one of the very distinct ships resting in this port. They stacked the crates for the Quartermaster to review and check them off the list.

Summary
A blackened banner waved in the strong sea breeze. The fire crackled, and inky black smoke billowed from what used to be a festival for good fortune. Broken attendees lay strewn over the remaining path like charred flower petals.
Jhin walked the shambled path and breathed in the salty, smoky air.

Summary
The band began to play a soft warm-up piece as Jhin passed them by. The venue was in the town that the Noxians conquered, using the grand library as their home base. This party was probably the fanciest thing for the barbarians to experience, and even then, it was so hideous. The structure was Ionian, with its natural flourishes obscured by gaudy Noxus’ flags. Then there was the rest of the decor–God, did he wish he could shoot the man again for such atrocity.

Summary
The landscape looked like the footprint of a battlefield instead of the aftermath of a night's festivities. Booths lay in pieces all over the ground, next to the bodies of their owners and the attendees. The flames blackened the land, but Hwei merely saw an outline of it against the bigger picture. Even if the incident had passed, he could see the markings. Brilliant unfurled petals of pink and lilac and pale blue… It reminded him of that morning in Koyehn when his world was turned upside down.

Summary
Firecrackers popped in a wild flurry, sending the children scattering and giggling. Visitors chattered as they walked the lantern-lit path to eye the stalls for the food, games, and goods. Masks depicting animals and monsters hung along the walls of some of the booths. The festival was in full swing, and the excitement was tantalizing. He could feel it down to his fingertips, the buzzing anticipation of tonight’s performance.

Summary
There were many tales of the Elderwoods. Some came from the creatures living in that fantastical forest, and others from the humans who dared to cross these woods. The story could be of wonder or horror, depending on who you ask. One thing was sure: the Elderwood creatures' tales should not be taken lightly, for they are the only warning you will receive.
