If anything, it would only highlight how it might not be the brightest idea to bring a model–whose not even interested in acting–into a costly movie like this one.

Smooth, foreign music played in the background, providing the kind of white noise that Leon needed. He checked his watch and lifted his head as a barmaid set down a fresh glass of whisky for him.
“Thank you.” He flashed her a smile. She returned it with a polite one before tending to the rest of the patrons. His eyes followed after her slender form before wandering to the other patrons. He’s an ocean and continents away from home, and the bar scene is still pretty much the same except a little smokier. Unfortunately for him, that was all it took to tug loose some dusty memories of a village ravaged by a crazed cult and mind-controlling parasite.

A storm raged outside, making the windows shudder as thunder let out a deep, low rumble. It was as if nature decided to reflect just how Krauser was feeling at that moment. His room was dark, with the lights outside bleeding through the windows. Every so often, the room would light up with every lightning strike. Krauser sat upright, unable to sleep, and it had nothing to do with the storm.

He raised his expressive eyes to see the archway and the silhouette of a tall figure resting against the pillar. As he drew closer, he picked up other details, like the sheathed swords that rested on the older man’s waist.

He stared in the dark, heart pounding in his chest as he stilled his breath and strained his ears, but could only hear the sound of the rain splashing against his bedroom window. A slow exhale slipped through his parted lips as he slowly climbed off his warm bed and onto the cold floor. He didn't bother with the lights as he slowly stepped out of his cluttered bedroom for his even more cluttered living room.

"Thank you for letting me know. Have a good night!" He flashed her a tired smile before heading in. He nodded toward the security guard and started to weave through the familiar halls. The motion lights switched on, and he gazed up through the glass walls to see the schools of fishes passing overhead, along with the rays and the smaller sharks. Oh, he has missed this.

This party was probably the fanciest thing for the barbarians to experience, and even then, it was so hideous. The structure was Ionian, with its natural flourishes obscured by gaudy Noxus’ flags. Then there was the rest of the decor–God, did he wish he could shoot the man again for such atrocity.

Booths lay in pieces all over the ground, next to the bodies of their owners and the attendees. The flames blackened the land, but Hwei merely saw an outline of it against the bigger picture. Even if the incident had passed, he could see the markings. Brilliant unfurled petals of pink and lilac and pale blue… It reminded him of that morning in Koyehn when his world was turned upside down.
