Tim may have been thirteen, but he was also a high school Sophomore and perfectly capable of faking a nanny, breaking and entering, and hacking the Batcomputer—not necessarily in that order.All he had to do to keep this lifestyle was maintain the ruse—easy enough when it came to his parents but a more treacherous undertaking to try to put one over on the Batman himself. And with Jason as his English tutor, Tim found himself growing perilously close to the Wayne family. Although at first content to watch them from behind his camera, it was only a matter of time before he got invested.

Summary
Tim learned two very important lessons early in his life. One: children are to be seen and not heard. But preferably, they’d be neither. And two: logic was the only way to survive. Lessons learned in childhood tend to stick, and so do the fears.
Or: Tim gets hit with fear toxin, and Bruce learns Tim's quiet efficiency is not a strength, but a trauma response.

Janet clicked her tongue, disapproval dripping from her tone. “Really, do you have any idea how the public is going to take this? It will take at least a week for the publicity to die down!”
Tim bit his lip, holding back the sobs that yearned to rack his small frame. Tim really didn’t mean to get his parents in trouble, he was just so hungry.

Bruce turned to Jason and gave him a smile, a smile the kid reciprocated while Dick continued complaining on the phone, but looking at Jason a thought hit him like cold water. He froze.
Has Jason ever been to the dentist? He knew for sure he has never taken him to the dentist…oh god.
