Summary
His eyes zone in on Matt's throat, the place where vital blood is pushed through his veins by his heart. He knows where to hit, where to slice through the skin, to leave him helpless, clawing at his own throat. His gaze darkens, needle rolling over his skin.
"It won't hurt.." he murmurs softly, almost in a trance.
Matt's head snaps up, body tensing in a familiar way.
"Dex."
His firm voice makes Dex snap out of it, blinking away the dark edges of his vision. His hand slackens, dropping the needle into the saucer. It's tainted red with Matt's blood. His face pales. He buries his face in his hands, hoping that squeezing his eyes closed this tightly might remove him from the room alltogether.

Dex had to admit, he was kind of enjoying this.
The firm squeeze of Matt’s grip on his shoulder shoving him forward, the soft growl of his voice cursing his existence, the fire spreading up his side replacing the noise in his head—all of it drove Dex higher until he was floating above his body.
A hysterical giggle threatened to wriggle its way out from underneath his fractured ribs. The two of them—sworn enemies—forced to work together for the sake of the grand design. This was perfect. This was poetic. This was….
Or, Dex learns to relinquish control, and Matt learns to take it.

Summary
Daredevil and Dex have been playing a game of cat and mouse ever since Daredevil prevented Dex from attacking Wilson and Vanessa Fisk at the boxing match. As Dex starts to get bored just going after AVTF agents, he sets a trap to fight Daredevil face to face again. When the fight takes an unexpected turn, Dex brings a half-dead Daredevil back to his apartment to fix him up.
