Summary
Ben, who had been enjoying his own snack, glances around the room at the commotion, spotting his dad heading toward the kitchen. He sets aside the strawberries and, with sticky hands, pushes himself up using the coffee table, just as he’s been learning to do lately. This time, he doesn’t stop once he’s balanced enough to stand. Determined to follow his dad, he lets go of the table and starts walking toward Chan, taking small, uncertain, and slightly shaky steps.
Hyunjin, who was half-lying on top of Changbin, is the first to notice, gasping in surprise: “Oh my God, look at that!” He points.
Felix sighs in surprise. He knew Ben was about to start walking because of all the times he’d been standing up on his own without holding onto anything over the past few days.
“Chris.” He gasps in wonder, grabbing his phone to record the moment.
Chan stops at the kitchen door with a look of total surprise and elation. He sets down the bowl and kneels on the floor, spreading his arms wide as he smiles at Ben.
“That’s right, come to daddy.”
