He could have pulled Bryan apart, and, given the awful things he’d done over the last day and bit, he wanted that. Like an insect, giving into its base needs to eat and procreate before it gave up entirely and let nature take its course. Death would be a perfect way out of all the problems Bryan currently had, but his new, changed DNA stroked his heart and whispered that he had to keep going. Seek a host. Because he wasn’t an animal, he might have felt like one, but he wasn’t. He was a disease.
