That’s how this works, the guys do what they want and Ice finds his pleasure in the cracks, that’s the usual pattern. If him saying it makes Maverick lose interest, if it makes him leave, he doesn’t know what he’s supposed to do with that. How he’s supposed to face him in two days, knowing the only reason he ever wanted Ice was because he thought he was a whore.

Years of working in a teaching hospital primed Robby for answering a variety of unexpected things. There are no stupid questions. Every question asked is an opportunity to learn. Valuable bits of information will be unlocked in life simply from being unafraid to ask for them.
The philosophy is sound. Until Dennis and Jack start asking questions and decide Robby's an idiot who's giving all the wrong answers. He has to get through to them that there are some things in life you just don't want to know.
