"My name is Julian Pankratz. My birthday is the third of February. Once when I was ten my cousin dared me to climb ours, I got almost all the way up before I fell and broke two bones in my ankle. The hospital was first place I ever saw a sentient android. I remember the doctor gave me a lollipop for being so brave, it was raspberry flavoured and my mum got this look on her face like she’d just eaten something sour but she couldn’t tell the doctor what a little shit I’d been and I thought it was so funny. Anyway, that’s the only time I’ve ever broken a bone."

Jaskier is a wandering musician, more of a lover than a fighter, and all around charming individual. Before he was Jaskier he was Julian, an android belonging to a lonely old man, but enough about that. He decides to attach himself to the legendary cyborg Geralt of Rivia, in search of adventure and new material for his songs. The only snag is that Geralt is a Hunter, and his quarry? Rogue androids.

In his life, Jaskier has made more bad decisions than good. Saving a kidnapped princess from a Nilfgaardian camp certainly factors into that, especially when her witcher is likely to kill him on sight.
