Summary
We continue the blossoming love story between Alan and the foreign printmaking exchange student in London. She now has a name: Vida. She is thirty-three, with two young boys back in her home country whom she shares with her ex-husband.
In this part, we follow the tracklist of songs she recorded for Alan on an audio cassette as a Christmas gift while he was away filming Bob Roberts in America. Almost every song has its own dedicated chapter, with just a few exceptions. The tracklist is included at the end of the first part, but for convenience, here it is:
Side A:
The Cure – “Pictures of You”
Roxette – “Fading Like a Flower (Every Time You Leave)”
Extreme – “More Than Words”
Dire Straits – “Expresso Love”
Side B:
Simply Red – “Stars”
The La’s – “There She Goes”
The Stone Roses – “I Wanna Be Adored”
The Cure – “Just Like Heaven”
The Sundays – “Here’s Where the Story Ends”Series

Summary
This (was supposed to be) one-shot is set against the backdrop of the early 1990s, Borrowed Time follows a passionate, whirlwind affair between a talented international visual arts student and a rising British actor, Alan. When Alan’s demanding career whisks him away across the Atlantic to film an indie project, the two are forced to navigate the agonizing distance through raw, longing letters and rare, crackling long-distance phone calls.
Bound by a strict deadline and the looming certainty of her eventual departure, they plunge into a deeply intimate world, entirely aware that their relationship is running on borrowed time.
While the deeply emotional love story itself is entirely fictional, the narrative is grounded in real-life events from Alan Rickman's career. The atmospheric melancholy and themes of fleeting, profound connection are heavily inspired by events around Rickman's 1991. West End stage production Tango at the End of Winter, blended with the melancholic atmosphere of modern cinematic classic Lost in Translation.
I sincerely hope you like it. 💕Series

Summary
The Ministry of Magic passed the Wizarding Marriage Act of 2002, requiring all unmarried witches and wizards of a certain age to marry their Ministry assigned matches and produce an heir within two years.
It was met with outrage, which fizzled into acceptance, which slumped into compliance, except from two very outspoken powerful opponents of the law, Hermione Granger and Severus Snape.
And it had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that they were matched to each other.
By mid-2003, they were some of the last holdouts of the early matches, and the Ministry took it into their own hands to force the pair together.
Faced with an impossible choice, Azkaban or marriage, they decide the best way to defeat the law is from within it.- Language:
