Nancy must’ve zoned out for the short walk because she only now grew aware of the splintered wooden door in front of her, the basket gone heavy in her hands.
She looked back at Karen from the side of her eyes, looking down as a taunt smile pulled against her cheeks. “Sorry- sorry… I was just… thinking. I’m fine”
Karen didn’t say anything, and Nancy didn’t want to look at her in fear of the same expression she’d worn since that night.
Disappointment.
Her mother knocked on the door, and Nancy waited with bated breath, as the lock clicked, and the door opened.
Stood in a loose-fitting white t-shirt and pair of cut off jean shorts, was a girl. Her hand tightly gripped a can of Coke and her brows furrowed at the two stood on her doorstep.
This is going to be so awkward.
“Hi!” Karen chirped, the girl giving Nancy a once over before looking at her mom.
Nancy only felt slightly miffed at the fact that the look she’d given her mother was a lot less venomous than the one thrown her way.
Asshole.

Summary
“Hey,” Robin lifted her eyes to see Nancy also crouching down, helping to scoop up tapes, a mere few inches away from Robin. She spoke in a low voice. “If you’re nervous about…you know, doing anything on Friday, you don’t have to. No one is going to make you.”
And Nancy had said that with so much sincerity in her voice that Robin almost melted on the spot, dropping one of the tapes in her arms before furiously rushing to pick it back up.
“I mean, uh– yeah of course. Uh–Roger that. Gotcha, no problemo. Very cool.” she nodded, standing back up and placing the tapes back on the counter. Nancy stood up as well, handing the tapes over to Robin who seemed to be glued to her spot.

Robin Buckley has never been kissed before. Essentially, this is a Ronance fic but centered around Robin unpacking fears of loneliness, vulnerability, and how scary it is to love something or someone you think is unachievable and might never be.

Summary
Robin sat by the lake and watched the waves lap onto the shore. It was strange to think that not even three months ago she had nearly died here- all of them had nearly died here. Some at the bottom, some at the top, and some even more at the bottom. She shuddered as she recalled the first time she went to the “upside down” and shook her head, as if she could somehow shake the thought loose. It didn’t work, it never did.
Something paranormal is happening again in Hawkins, but this time there doesn't seem to be an explanation.

Robin’s voice and the sound of a lunch tray slapping down on the table next to her startled Nancy out of whatever trauma-induced fugue state Tommy and Carol’s exhibitionism had locked her into. She felt herself blushing. She turned her attention to her own tuna sandwich and carrot sticks.

Really known you. And he…” He pauses again, Robin still watching him intently, blue eyes fixed on his. “He thought— He didn’t think your death was an accident.”
Against him, Robin tenses up, finally breaking eye contact. It’s obvious she’s already picked up what he’s putting down, but he continues on, regardless. “He— He told me that you’d told him that you— you were rotten inside, like, you thought you were the problem, and that he— he thought you—” He takes a deep breath. “He thought you’d killed yourself.”
A couple of days after returning from the alternate timeline they'd created, Steve can't stop thinking about what Mr. Hauser had told him about Robin.
