Three hours later, Mercy Graves was appointed CEO of LuthorCorp in his absence.
Three months later, she began communicating with the imprisoned Luthor and continuing his groundbreaking research on cloning and metahumans.
Three months ago, the fruits of that research, an experiment designated KON-1, was deemed ready for deployment and placed on standby.
Three weeks ago, Lex Luthor was released from jail after a plea deal with the United States government, the details of which have yet to be released to the public.
Three days ago, Daily Planet reporter Lois Lane discovered his silent return to LuthorCorp.
Three hours ago, the United States air force detected an unidentified object entering American airspace.
Three minutes ago, the unidentified object began causing havoc in downtown Metropolis and was met by the insufficient forces of the Justice Gang.
Three seconds ago, Superman arrived on the scene.

Summary
Kon took a step back, prepared to make his grand escape, when he backed up right into a solid figure behind him. He turned quickly, shrinking down with an audible intake of breath, standing below the towering figure of none other than Superman himself. He wore a peculiar look on his face, eyebrows slightly furrowed, lip pulled back into what could have been mistaken as a smile, but only seemed full of forced politeness.
And then Kon heard the strange rumbling sound coming right from the center of Superman’s throat. Kon shrunk back, but this time, put himself right behind Superman and out of sight of the press.
