Rumor and gossip surround Marianne after her embarrassing display at the ball.
Fearing for her and her sister's reputations, she runs to Colonel Brandon, begging him to marry her.
She quickly learns though that being his wife may not be as horrible as she'd once imagined.
In fact... it may be the best thing that has ever happened to her.
I picture the characters as the actors from the 2008 mini series, which if you haven't seen, GO DO IT DOWN! Incredible!

Summary
Marianne Dashwood was always meant for great things. She was certain that when the time came for her to receive her prophesy, it would be something spectacular. She counted down the days until her sixteenth birthday, finding new reasons to support her belief each day. And indeed, on the day of her 16th birthday, she sees herself being carried away in the rain by a stranger, a voice telling her: "‘It is thus it will happen. A member of the aristocracy will save you from sorrow and death. No two tastes were ever more similar, no hearts so alike, no souls with such a similar path to love." Her sister is a prophesy sceptic, but Marianne knows destiny has found her at last when the handsome Willoughby picks her up after she hurts her ankle in the valley near Allenham.
