Summary
Looking in the mirror he met himself. He looked a bit skinny, long features, a slightly pointed nose, red orange hair, lots of freckles, his fingers where long and his feet already large. He washed, cleaned his teeth and realised.
He was Ronald fracking Weasley.
He had read all the books, seen all the films, sighed in total disbelief that the end game was Ronald and Hermione. Ronald was a jealous, short tempered troll. She deserved better.
He was Ron Weasley.
He sat heavily on the toilet and stared into the mirror.
What had he done to deserve this? What twisted sort of torment was this, to make him live the life of a character he hated? On the plus side he idly thought Hermione would grow into a bit of a babe, but she really deserved better.
He looked himself in the eye. Internally he was a sixty plus year old adult. Any form of romantic relationship with Hermione, repulsed him. He would live this weird life, and be a better Ron.
He would be the friend Harry Potter deserved.
