Dizzy..Armand hasn’t been dizzy in 500 years.
The sensation brings forth a startled, hoarse laugh. Feeling more than seeing the tensing of Daniel’s brow. Knowing, in his mind's eye, that when it furrows now his wrinkles make it deeper. Richer. More intent. Armand wants to work his tongue between every furrow. Carve a home in that furious anger and leave his impression upon every little indent. Make a space where every line is his. Where he can gleefully tell the world ‘mine’.
That it was he who put them there. Each one. That it was he who pressed down the stencil and Daniel who filled in the lines.

“Jesus, slow down, would you? If I lose track of the house and you I’m gonna end up sleeping on the damn street,” Daniel says. He jerks at Armand’s belt loop, trying to get his attention. “Hey. Earth to Armand, hello?”
He’s got a flier in his hand, too busy staring at it to pay attention. Some place called the Vault. The ad says it’s relocated, and there’s probably an address on it but it’s covered by Armand’s thumb. In the neon light his bone white skin glows; first warm gold, and then, when the lights change, shocking red.
“What is an S&M club?” Armand asks.

Summary
Jasper’s hand lays over his heart, and his whole body jolts without moving. Those terrifying eyes stare at him, and he stares back even as the pulse pound of his heart roars, thumpthump thumpthump, a pace that Jasper can surely feel under his hand. No heat seeps through the touch but the press of it roots him even as it unmoors him. Jasper has moved closer somehow, the negligible height difference between them means that they’re now eye to eye. He wants to blink; he wants to look away; he wants to flinch.
