When Zack gets traded to LA, he knows he has to say goodbye to the jersey number he had chosen as a tribute to his brother who died two years prior, because one of the Kings' biggest names is already wearing it. So when he's told that number 12 has given it up for him to keep, Zack wants to do the right thing and thank him properly. Now, Zack's not particularly enclined to insist on things, he knows how to pick his fights, but when Laszlo Mahony-McAdam, ex number 12 on the Kings, simply refuses to talk about it, Zack does not feel like letting go.

Summary
Since the age of 4, Alexandre-Laurent Escoffier had loved the game of hockey. All he talked or thought about had to have something to do with hockey. 14 years later, sitting in a cramped arena in a state he can’t even pronounce in between his mother and father, he still couldn’t believe how he ended up at that point.
“For the first overall pick in the 2003 draft, New York Rangers are proud to select…” By that point, everything else was tuned out. Alexandre stood up, hugged his mom, ignored a stifled nod from his dad, and went up to the stage. That was it. Everything he had ever worked for had payed off, leading up to this very moment. The first French defender the league has seen.

Michael Ford has a boring simple life and he likes it that way. He plays good hockey with the Canucks, discovers that he likes the beach, and gets called a nerd for playing Zelda games so often. Never in a million years could he have forseen that his best friend's newfound interest in Stuart Pequet, a random AHL player from the Sharks' affiliate team, was about to lead him to a nerve wracking and unexpected path of self discovery and to a new kind of happiness.

He might have to kill this guy and hide the body, because no one can find out that he got picked up bridal-style and tossed in the back seat like he’s about to let his date slide from second to third. The guys already give him enough shit for being pretty in the face – there’s no need to add fuel to their fire.

Mack wakes up one morning and finds a wish baby on his kitchen counter but doesn't know how it got there. The first person he calls is Will. They decide to take care of the baby together even though they know nothing about babies and Mack doesn't want to look and see who the other parent is. The choice of who the other parent is obvious to everyone but WillMack.
