Ever since Eddie got shot, Buck has been haunted – not by the memory, although that still stings – but by his own thirst. No matter how much he tries, or what he drinks, Buck can’t shake his dry tongue and his desire for something he can’t name.
That is until he gets a paper cut and it clicks. Blood. But the taste is still not quite right, not quite as satisfying – there’s something missing: Eddie. Eddie who can read Buck like an open book, who knows how Buck is feeling before Buck knows himself, who would never deny Buck anything. Not even his blood.
Or the fic in which, following the sniper incident, Buck becomes obsessed with the idea and taste of Eddie’s blood, Eddie indulges him, and they both get off on it.
