Summary
Home, Max thought. What does that even mean?
She used to think Chloe was her home. She had been so sure of that. But after they split up, that certainty had crumbled from beneath her feet. Since then, Max has been grasping for something to call home, so she can stand on solid ground again.
It wasn’t here in the Congo, photographing violence and death on the blooded streets of Kinshasa city. But Max wasn’t sure it was in Seattle either.

Max takes a job as a photojournalist in the Congo, using her rewind to save who she can in the country's bitter conflict. But unexpected help comes from the one person Max thought she wouldn't see again, and she begins to think that somehow, just maybe, she can find a way home.
