Summary
The echo of laughter, breathy between parted lips, carries Zlatko forward and away from what’s nearly spilling over into a fight. Perfectly coiffed curls frame Jae’s face from where she stands at the far end of the deck, arms crossed as she leans upon a metal pillar towards the deck’s starboard eyes. Impish eyes track Zlatko first as he strides slowly towards her, then slide to Heinrix, who turns sharply on his heel and storms the other way.
Yet as he approaches, Jae moves beyond his reach, dancing another step away for each one Zlatko takes.
“Do not mind me, shereen.” She grins with a flourish of her palm. “Simply watching the scene our dearest Inquisitor would inevitably cause. He is so sensitive, no?”

Yet a dim light invades her senses, and Rin cracks an eye open, groaning. The room is different here, drab walls and no windows, something creaking below her as she shifts backwards. It takes a moment or two for her vision to clear totally, though when Wesker remains, strangely solid, she reassures herself again.
