    Summary

God, Vanitas had been so stupid. To say yes, when Noé had first made him that ridiculous offer. Vanitas should have known better. He had known better, and still.

Oh yeah, why don't I suck your dick, he said. It will be fun, he said.

    Poppycock.

It had ruined everything. It had been the ripple that set the carefully-set trajectory of their uneasy partnership veering off course, from where it gyrated dramatically before barrelling on and crashing head-on into the nearest stone wall.

Or: Vanitas and Noé hook up and are Bad at Feelings.

    Summary

    Hermes darted down on impulse.

“Wait! I think I can help you out,” he offered, stopping just before the apparition.

This wasn't any different than helping a stranded shepherd or traveler, right? He answered their prayers all the time. This was just another lost soul, literally. He wasn’t infringing any boundaries by doing this. Probably.
