The sheets were drenched, and the sweat pouring off of him in buckets soaked through his t-shirt and boxers. There were patches of moisture marking every spot he’d tossed and turned throughout the night. Dennis groaned and buried his face in his damp, lumpy pillow.
So, he hadn’t been under in a while. Big deal. Some submissives dealt with their needs more often, and that was none of Dennis’s business. He didn’t know why he could go longer without it than other subs; he just knew he had always been weird that way.
OR: In a world with biological Dom/Sub designations, Dennis ignores his own needs for too long and finds himself in subdrop at work. As usual, Robby both helps and doesn't help.

Summary
There was nothing that Robby could say or do that would stop the investigation from moving forward. It terrified him that Dennis was looking to him for reassurance, and for the first time since they'd met, Robby honestly didn't know if he had any to give. Someone was dead, and the family believed Dennis was at fault. The hospital had procedures, obligations, and Robby’s own name was already tangled in the margins. He had no power here.
Or, Dennis is under investigation for medical malpractice, and Robby doesn’t know how to separate being his fiancé and his attending.

They knew he liked it. He knew they liked it. And they were all playing this really fun, incredibly, lovely, wonderful fucking irritating game of chicken, waiting for someone to finally cross the line and fucking handle it. Of Jack and Robby knowing what Dennis craved and Dennis knowing they were the only two that could actually handle it. Handle him. Handle this whole fucking issue that was himself and his stupid fucking needs.
It was only natural for it to progress of its own accord.
