Summary
The 1000 year blood war never concluded. As Ichigo and Yhwach fought, the three realms crumbled and eroded. Hueco Mundo and the world of the living merged. Cities were buried in sand and mindless hollows feasted. The more coherent hollows simply watched as they knew the end was coming.
Within the seireitei, a severely injured Ichigo Kurosaki lay unconscious after another horrific encounter with the quincy king and a choice was made. As everyone that was left who could fight threw themselves in one final attempt to subdue the destroyer, Kisuke worked tirelessly with a device.
“Now remember, don’t say your last names. When Ichigo wakes up, give him this he’ll know what to do. Oh and also,” he shifted his position from the people in front of him to look to his side, “ take care of them.”
A smooth deep voice answered. “ Of course I will.”

Time is a weird thing; it can sometimes bring relief and hope, but there are times that it only brings dread. For him, time was as much of a curse as it was a blessing; he had time to grow strong and protect, but the memories of those times could become to much of a burden with all the time he had.
