Summary
The first time Paul Atreides ever lays eyes on Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, it is through a looking glass across a gladiator arena vast enough to swallow hundreds of thousands. Countless faces lie between them, mouths screaming, bodies chanting, while strange ink-blot fireworks split the bright, colourless sky. It is a whole world of noise and distance, but Feyd-Rautha’s eyes still find his.
They have never met. Paul has never seen him before in his life.
And yet, why is it that there is something so unnervingly familiar about him?
OR, what if Paul and Feyd had met earlier, became obsessed with each other, and then had to learn the hard way that there is a huge machinery of politics and destiny around them, and love might not be enough.
Canon divergent. Starts off light, but gets more complex, plot-heavy, psychological and darker. Some serious knives in this (eventually). Happy ending (like after a lot tho)

Rean felt sick when Crow stabbed him in the back, he was so angry at his bold-faced lies that his time at Thors meant nothing, and his last snitting words, “That Crow doesn’t exist, sorry about it.” It was frightening in retrospect that Rean let a person like that in, he was ashamed that his juvenile crush on this charmingly-eccentric second year blinded him to all the signs. He wanted to yell at the Crow who betrayed him, who coldly wiped the floor with him without even breaking a sweat... but just who was this Crow sitting in front of him with a homemade fish burger? It was a cruel amalgamation of this dangerous stranger, and the Crow he thought he knew...
Crow always made fun of him for being a meddling mother hen, so he was going to meddle until it all made sense. He wouldn’t give up on him—he chose to believe in the real Crow who never pushed him away.
[A reimagining of the Erebonian arc, if Crow/Rean was canon instead of just strongly implied lol. Filled with drama, romance, motorcycles, anachronistic slang, Gunda—I mean Divine Knight battles—and under the patty, there’s a dash of Pops’ secret chili sauce.]
