“It’s you, isn’t it?!” Jack grinned in delight, happy as a schoolboy at Christmas. “Never thought I’d run into you in a place like this, not that I’m complaining. Ok, ok, I probably should’ve guessed sooner, but…” He shrugged. But I didn’t think I’d ever see you again.
The Doctor simply stared at him, his expression unreadable. “I take it we’ve met?”
Or, Jack Harkness and the Eighth Doctor walk into a bar. A conversation ensues.

To his credit, he did give a half-hearted cough when they made eye contact. He seemed to choke on his words a bit before properly forming a sentence.
