Iwaizumi turns Oikawa around, and holds the setter’s palm to his chest, “Tooru, Tooru, look at me, baby.” His eyes are full of tears, and stained red with irritation. “Feel that, yeah?” Oikawa nods with him, and tries to match his smile with wobbly lips. “Okay? This means I’m not going anywhere soon. I’m not leaving you, Shittykawa, I’m right here.”

Summary
There are some things you just can’t see unless you do things you don’t normally do. This beautiful day unfolding in front of him is one. The man sitting next to him might be another. However, Kenma doesn’t let himself dwell on the second thing for too long because he remembers Jun’s words. Kuroo isn’t interested in romance. And Kenma knows nothing about romance in the first place.
Instead, he whispers to Kuroo, “Thank you for showing me this.”
“You’re welcome,” says Kuroo’s soft voice in return.
They continue to stare at the rising sun. Kenma feels that, with any luck, this would solidify the unspoken, budding friendship between them. He still doesn’t know what it is that he is looking for here in this town, but it feels like he’s taken good first steps.
How to build a life you want. Kenma thinks. This is probably just the beginning.
