    He twirls his pen between his fingers, wondering for the umpteenth time what Alyosha looks like under all those layers. He considers what that warm, deep voice of his would sound like muttering sweet words of praise in Mitya’s ear or moaning against his neck.

    He gets so swept up in his fantasies that he doesn’t realize his scarf twitching into action until it’s already snaked around his waist to his front. Mitya catches sight of it and blanches in dread.

    “No,” he tries to snap at it, keeping his voice low to not draw attention. “Please, no.”

    His scarf spares him no mercy; it grips his crotch candidly and squeezes. Mitya yelps, flushing in an instant from sudden arousal and piercing embarrassment. He clamps one hand over his mouth, horribly aware of the few heads that turned at his shriek, and grips his scarf with another, pushing it away from his lower half.
