Summary
Doctor Stanford F. Pines and his assistant Fiddleford H. McGucket have been officially declared missing, though whispers among the townsfolk say they should be presumed dead. Their lab is now vital evidence in the investigation of their disappearances, but no leads to their whereabouts have been made. Backupsmore wants answers, as the research they invested their grant money into cannot be accessed until Dr. Pines is found, dead or alive. Stanley Pines, upon receiving the news, races up to Gravity Falls, Oregon, in pursuit of finding his brother and finds himself in a mystery bigger than a field of dying stars exploding.

Stanford Pines is one of the most intelligent men that Fiddleford has ever had the pleasure of meeting. If he weren't Fiddleford would have never uprooted his entire life in California to join the man up in the sleepy town of Gravity Falls. If he said he needed a partner to study the anomalies of the strange town then Fiddleford was more than willing to lend his skills.

It introduced itself as "Bill Cipher" and when Stanford had regained what few marbles were bouncing about in his head he immediately launched into questioning the thing THAT HAD JUST BIT HIM.

The worst part was that Fiddleford knew he couldn’t hate Stanford. No matter what Stanford did, Fiddleford would rather forget the pain and regrets over holding such a terrible grudge. But if Stanford could learn to say sorry, Fiddleford wouldn’t mind at all.

Bill Cipher became an artist to show Euclydia the stars.
Paintings of the starry sky, invisible to the Euclidean eye, were hung in numerous art galleries. But its cheap imitation was not enough to satisfy Bill. In fact, he still felt alone despite the support of his fans and parents. They didn't understand him. 'Fictitious!' They didn't even want to try believing in him!
This was it. He was going to live and die with the vision to see 'up' and have no one to share it with.
That was until Ford Pines came along.
