Summary

Summary
While chatting with Dimitri at one of the base's tents, Byleth notices a red flare spread across the King's cheeks.
"Huh? Is he okay?" She rushes to his side and begins to check for a fever that might've bloomed from their battles in the rain.
The pink reddens as she gets closer, making Dimitri slip more and more into the dizziness of his sickness. His delusions must have gotten stronger these past few days. He's never seen such a perfect recreation of the Goddess than in this vision. Must be bad if he can feel the soft heat of her fingertips so well.
With a brief moment of clarity, he realizes the Goddess before him is actually Byleth, the very pretty mercenary who lacks communication skills.
"Oh Goodness," He thought, "I'm glad no one's here to see this." -

Summary
Dimitri is going through the motions of his empty life at Garreg Mach University-- going to classes, spending time with his friends who mostly like him, and falling asleep alone. At night he is often trapped in a labyrinth of visions that focus on two people-- a twisted version of himself that is as beastly on the outside as Dimitri is on the inside, and a beautiful woman reaching out her hand to him, no matter how little he deserves it. It's a fitting punishment for one such as him, to be reminded of his unforgiven sins and the kind of love he'll never deserve.
But when he walks into a physics class and sees the literal woman of his dreams standing at the blackboard, he realizes those windows to another world are just part of much larger mystery about the world, and his place in it.
