Summary
The first thing Getou notices about the new guy is that he’s obnoxious. He’d swaggered in (yes, swaggered) and when nobody greeted him, he’d taken a seat beside Getou, who was closest to the door, to peer into his screen.
“Hi,” he says.
Getou turns to him slowly. He has sunglasses on inside the building, his uniform is definitely not standard, he’s ridiculously tall and unfortunately, ridiculously attractive. Enough that Getou blinks and leans back. It was like seeing a celebrity at Five Guys. Worse, Getou was seeing him at Dunder Mifflin.
“I’m the new sales guy.”
He grins and oh, dimples. Then, he ruins it by saying, “Nice bangs.”
I.e. they meet in an office! At a regular job! Like regular people!

Fortunate enough to find a small empty cottage just before a heavy winter snow, Briar knows she cannot stay long as she can smell that an Omega spends plenty of time here, and soon she'll be back. There are very few options in life for a truly feral Alpha, but Briar couldn't even begin to imagine that her madness might meet its match.

‘Okay, one hit, but not with your sword’ is a completely reasonable request for Melinoë to make when accepting Nemesis’ one-hit challenge. If she was not open to her crush wrestling her to the ground and delivering upon her royal heiney a singular slap, she should have been more specific.
