Summary
It's Halloween in Jericho, and Wednesday finds it all a little too cheery. Why are all the body parts fake? Why are the spiders made of rubber, and the bats covered in glitter? Why is Enid insisting she attend some insipid Halloween dance? Halloween should be about murder, mayhem, monsters and ghosts... not strangely revealing costumes and Enid's K-pop playlist.
Then Wednesday has a vision, and suddenly she knows exactly what her plans are for the evening.
Tyler Galpin's just lucky she invited him.

Summary
Briarcliff is supposed to be a sanctuary for masterless Hydes, but to Tyler it feels more like some hippie commune cult... if hippie cults can exist inside insanely large, fancy, pretentious hunting lodges. But there's nowhere else to go, so he settles in, even though he can't shake the feeling that something is very, very wrong.
He watches Hydes get sick, get better, and get sick again. He notices the ones that disappear. Slowly, he realizes that whatever's been happening to the Hydes at Briarcliff is now happening to him.
Wednesday has no intention of letting Tyler become another casualty.

Summary
Tyler and Wednesday are taking the long way to California, trading airports and motels for back roads, wilderness, and firelight beneath the stars.
A few nights camping in the Utah desert shouldn't be a problem for a Hyde and an Addams.
Until something begins circling their campsite after dark.

Summary
"I don't believe my will's quite free/I'm half machine, at least half steam./Aquinas, call on me." - Dessa, 'Velodrome'.
“I have a letter we must speak about,” he says, and after a moment’s hesitation, reads it aloud, slowly and clearly, to her.
Aemma stares at him blankly, only registering that it is a letter from the King. She thinks she met the King once, when she was very small and he and his family visited. She couldn’t have been any older than four or five. It was before Prince Duncan ran off with that peasant girl and gave up his rights to the throne. Now it will go to his brother, Prince Jaehaerys. Septa says he was mad for love. Aemma can’t comprehend of such a thing, but then again, she has never fallen in love, and she certainly hopes the first man she falls for is not poor and lowborn, no matter how pretty his looks.
“Aemma,” Father says, gently, “the letter is about you and Prince Maegor.”
(Jon Arryn's daughter by Jeyne Royce survives. Aegon V seeks a marriage into a loyal house for his troublesome nephew. Chaos ensues.)
