I take my first bow.
This feels so much bigger than a performance. The Capitol has seen me and my brother growing up. The children of a beloved Victor that never really had a chance to hide from their eyes. They've wondered about our adventures and asked for my magic tricks, over and over. Here they have them. Not in the lighthouse where they were born, but on an enormous stage, close enough to touch.
That contract has given them a glimpse of the Lighthouse Ghost. Just brought me close enough to almost forget my own catchphrase about ghosts never getting caught.
And now, with the crowd applauding and chanting my name, I know the inevitable truth: They can't wait to see me die.
