    Written as a fill for the DCEU kinkmeme prompt:

    Clark temporarily loses his powers, and while it's initially jarring, he gradually adjusts and tries to go about on a somewhat normal routine after telling his inner circle (which can also include the League since they're building themselves up). Problem is that he is somehow an even bigger danger magnet than Lois in this state.

    “It is!” Clark cried, folding his hands over the table. “All about you, Mr. Wayne, as most things tend to be. Does that mean I get to ask more questions?”
    Bruce gave up trying to force his face back into a frown, and kept a bemused quirk on his lips when looking at the other man.
    “Sure,” he relented. “Why not?”

    The staff meeting after Cat had broken her foot had involved a lot of reassigning, since she couldn’t exactly do the usual society beat with her foot in a boot. So much that Clark hadn’t really thought twice when Perry had said “and Kent, you’ll take the new Wayne foundation piece,” because sure, he liked working the philanthropy stories occasionally. It wasn’t until they’d gotten back to their desks that Lois had burst into a fit of snickering and said “oh, I would pay money to see how you’re going to handle Bruce Wayne for two weeks,” and Clark had realized how majorly screwed he was.

    On a two-week assignment, Clark does his best to figure out Bruce Wayne. Bruce does his best to make sure he can't. Unfortunately, they're just too good at working together, even when they don't know it.

    “So what,” Dick continued, shrugging emphatically in front of his adopted father. “You were just going to pretend it wasn’t happening? Until you couldn’t hold him in anymore?”

    “I was hoping that I could keep my composure until the four of you had left for patrol.”

    “And then what?”

    “The med bay is almost completely soundproof, and it’s sterile,” Bruce said quietly. “I was going to stay there until he came.”

    “Alone,” Jason said, crossing his arms. “Your plan was to hold him in until all of us were out of your way, and then stow yourself away in the bay and just casually push out a fucking baby. Alone.”

    “You’re insane,” Dick chuckled, shaking his head. “The bat costume wasn’t enough, you had to one up yourself.”

    Because sure, Clark's joined the Justice League. Clark's willing to work with Bruce to save the world. Clark's even forgiven him for what he once tried to do. But that doesn't mean they're going to—that doesn't make it plausible that they'd ever be—that they would get married.
