His ears tremble, his tail curling around a thigh.
“Um. Cyno. Are you not aware of those two, massive glowing eyes staring at us from the tunnel we just came through?”
“Yeah,” Cyno exhales, shoulders slumping in relief. Tighnari stares at him in disbelief. “Yeah, that’s– that’s Alhaitham.” Tighnari’s jaw drops.

Some strange new ruins pop up in the desert. Alhaitham goes missing. The biggest Withering Zone Cyno has ever seen is fully intertwined with a pulsing Ley Line anomaly. A dying god wants to make a deal.

He’s so pretty.

Summary
A bright blue lantern glows at his hip, cutting through the fog. It almost seems to serve as a protective ward of sorts - Varka can barely see any fog that surrounds the man’s figure.
He’s so pretty, what the fuck, Varka thinks, and promptly runs face-first into the biggest gravestone that he has ever had the misfortune to come across.

On his way to Nod-Krai, Varka receives a letter with a strange request. A potentially dangerous entity has been wreaking havoc on Nod-Krai's land despite its involvement with keeping the Wild Hunt at bay, and for some reason, they believe Varka is their last hope.
Personally, Varka doesn't think he can help much. But the snow leopard that keeps showing up and the pretty man that keeps saving his life might hold the keys to Nod-Krai's mystery.

- Undercover, Flins and Varka attend the Järvinen family’s ball to gather intel on the black market trade of Kuuvahki imbued ore. Unfortunately, Varka forgets that the food of the Fae is never to be dined on, leading to debased consequences.

This is the truth, yes. Flins states it with such candor that Varka strangely finds himself wanting to laugh. How long is a typical lifespan in the eyes of a fae who can stretch the embers of his flames to a period that can only be described as a hair’s breadth away from eternity?

Varka begins to notice Flins’s growing collection of specific items.

Varka keeps coming to the graveyard.
For fun, it seems like. He’ll bring flowers, candles, snacks, and alcohol, some other useless offering for the dead, but no business. It's just to pass the time. There is no other reason he should be anywhere near Flins’s graveyard at all. Certainly not for the sole reason of seeing him. The very thought is absurd. Flins never once asked him to return or insinuated that he was lonely. If anything, it’s annoying and disrupts his schedule.
He waits, though. He starts to expect him.

A visit to Meropide at ungodly hours - it's out of care. A conversation that must happen - a rough start but a wholesome end, out of faith.
He may have passed out and his mind could have been a place of disaster, but Wriothesley remembers the praise Neuvillette gave him about running Meropide. He remembers every encounter he had with the Judge – and maybe it’s selfish because his life on the scale of the Judge’s is something short and fleeting – but he hopes Neuvillette remembers too.
“How could you…” He starts under the other’s still patient, observing gaze.” How could you put that much faith in me?” Wriothesley hopes only he can hear how unsure his voice sounds.
But Neuvillette answers quickly and simply, “I still do.”
