11 years later in 1980 Ludwig moves to New York, chasing the American dream, but he runs into a familiar face. Feliciano. The two of them, now adults, fall for each other hard and fast. However, the backdrop of the looming AIDS crisis and rampant homophobia makes navigating their relationship troublesome. The first 3 chapters (before the time skip) are quite heavily inspired by of George DeValiers, Auf Weidersehen Sweetheart.
