Summary
His DNA spikes on a rain-soaked Tuesday night, and something in him locks onto a sound three miles away: a laugh, a heartbeat, a stranger he's never met. The city goes quiet for the first time in months. He tells himself he only wants to know why.
He is already lying.
By morning he'll have a name for what happened to him in that alley. He won't have a name for what he's become — a boy who used to apologize to strangers on the subway, now counting your heartbeat through brick like it's the only thing keeping him alive. He knows what this is. He knows it's wrong. He's going to do it anyway.
You don't know his name yet either. You will. He's going to make sure of it.

"Oh how Peter missed you.
He still paid attention of course. From afar. Because that's where you had been for the past four and a half years, working hard on your degree. But he was here. Just here."

Summary
Peter Parker is a lot of things.
He's smart, kind, adaptive, able to roll with the punches. A man with a mechanical scorpion tail throwing cars on 7th and West 35th Street. A guy in a steel wheel with robot arms terrorizing Harlem. Easy.
Peter likes to think he's responsible, and he is, mostly. He only ever seems to be irresponsible when it comes to you.
