So needy that Phainon will never be able to forget the feeling of his claws drawing demanding lines over his chest and arms.

“You bring me human things.” Mydei pushed back his long, soaking wet hair, the little shells and repurposed human jewelry used to hold his braids together clinking against one another like windchimes in the breeze. Pointing at the bag slung over Phainon’s shoulder, Mydei added, “Deliverer.”
