She tries, she really does, as their eyes meet, and right as Peter feels the warm sensation of blood soak into the hand-covering fabric of the Spider-Man suit… Jean hits the pavement of the room, hitting the glass and the debris-covered floor as blood begins to pool around her, turning the green jumpsuit into a mean green color.
