This hadn't been the plan when he had left under the cover of night with Richard at his side. He had only wanted to save the boy from his father's mission. He hadn't wanted anything more than that. He had lost Todd, he couldn't lose Richard as well.
But apparently, he hadn't lost Todd either and now he finds himself in a situation he's not sure is any better than the one he and Richard had left behind.
