Summary
Kai, Cole, Jay and Zane are all princes of their respective kingdoms. The year before they come of age, they are each sent to Master Wu's Royal Academy of Elements, to solidify and finalize their training. But when an attack is launched at the annual Aqua Ardens Ball, the four princes are thrown into adventure and hardship as they stage a rescue mission for the young boy they took under their wing.

This was meant to be Jay/Jaya-centric but it kind of spiraled out so now you get all of them. POVs are the main four because as much as I love Nya and Lloyd (who both have big roles in this, don't worry), those four will always hold a special place in my heart as THE ninja. Hope you enjoy!

WHY? BC I FOUND PLOT HOLE WHEN I WAS REWATCHING IT AND I WANT TO.
______Wu knelt on the cool wooden floor in front of the butsudan, a shrine-like cabinet crafted from rich, dark wood with intricately carved patterns adorning its surface. Its doors were ajar, revealing a small inner sanctum where cherished memories were preserved. Inside, three photographs sat nestled among flickering candlelight and a carefully arranged plate of food, an offering steeped in reverence. One photograph depicted a woman with flowing blonde hair and a radiant smile that seemed to light up the space. Next to her was an older woman, her brown hair cascading softly around her face, her warm smile exuding a sense of comfort and nurturing warmth. The last photograph portrayed a man, the only one not wearing a smile. His bald head shone with a hint of light, while a single braid hung down his back, a striking contrast to his serious expression.

As Wu gazed at the photograph, a wave of sadness washed over him. His heart heavy, he bowed his head in respect and whispered a heartfelt apology. “Ray, Maya. I’m sorry for not being there for your children. And forgive me for what I’m about to do.”
