Immediately, Peter spotted Harley right at the far end of his row. His hair was down to his jaw, messy brown-blonde curls that looked as though they hadn’t been cared for in years. It still took Peter’s breath away, heart doing that stupid flutter again. Though Harley was facing forward, Peter wished he would turn and see him even if just for a second. Just look at me, his brain said, Just look at me and prove you still think about me.
Harley remained resolute, looking up at the stage with an almost bored expression.
On stage, painfully slowly, Pepper unfolded the slip and read. It took another eternity for her to lift her mouth to speak, and when she did she made sure ennunciate very clearly, popping the ‘P’s for clarity. “Peter Parker!”

Peter's name is called during the annual reaping. He knows he's going to die, because the second tribute from District 11 is Harley Keener. Even if Peter were to somehow make it all the way to the end of the Games, he could never kill Harley Keener.
