Phillip had heard so much about this new musical and just had to go see it on the night that he would sit next to a certain stranger who held his attention almost as well as the musical itself.
Or

Summary
Technoblade has dreams. Dreams that feel like the wind on his face and freedom. Dreams that always end in red. He and Philza have spent years attempting to decode them, but they have always felt out of reach. When tides shifts and the old changes, they may discover something new and their world may become unrecognisable.
-------
It's the 'Phil and Techno are university researchers' AU that no-one but me asked for, with a few twists and turns.
This will not be light and fluffy, so readers beware. And it may contain some pretty serious themes, I haven't finished writing it so I'll update the tags as I go.
Good luck.
Blood for the Blood God.

Summary
Somehow, in some twisted, unbelievable turn of events, the fate of the entire planet, billions upon billions of people, had fallen on Ryland Grace's shoulders. It was a burden he wasn't fit to carry. A burden that he could feel in all its massiveness weighing down on his chest, squeezing his lungs until all he could eke out of them where wheezing, barely-there breaths.
He pressed his forehead harder against his knees and curled his fingers tight around some of the fabric of his pants, his knuckles turning white. He couldn't—this wasn't how it was supposed to—
His life—his kids—
Simon.
Or Ryland Grace is a middle school teacher turned lead astrophage scientist. Simon Fischer is a convict turned engineering specialist. Surely absolutely nothing could go wrong on a cosmic scale because neither of them are astronauts.

Summary
It starts like this. Clark Kent has a hopeless crush on a woman who's out of his league. Bruce Wayne has a newly-acquired kid he feels ill-equipped to raise. Superman is still finding his feet. And Batman has an unshakeable suspicion that Superman surely can't be all that he seems.
Things can only get more complicated from there.

Summary
Wright turns his steely gaze to the ground, slapping his forehead. He starts to chuckle, his laugh cruel, desperate.

Meanwhile, Miles's career reaches untold heights, and he figures that there's no better time to give love a chance, too. The men's lives have never been more different, but their stubbornness to hold onto each other leads them to work together on one of the grandest schemes the legal world has ever seen, one that would end the Dark Age of the Law.
In this world, there is no one they can trust more than the other, but due to the magatama, neither of them can lie to each other.
