Summary
You're a nurse from WW2 who was kidnapped and experimented on by HYDRA. In and out of cryostasis, until you're suddenly freed and alone in this new modern world seventy years later. Except you're not free -- people are after you, and you're afraid of getting caught in the wrong hands. Owing the man who saved you, you agree to find, hide with, and keep his best friend safe until the proverbial smoke clears. You're on the run and hide with Bucky Barnes for about two years, during which the two of you become closer than either expected.

Summary
You weren't an Avenger. You weren't. You trained people to be Avengers, but you weren't one. Allowing people to learn to control their powers had given you purpose after experiencing trauma that no person should ever experience. When it comes down to it, though, you had to save everyone. And in the process, you unwillingly announced your existence to both your enemies and the Avengers. They both want to use you for your powers, afraid of what will happen if the other side gets you first. Can you trust the Avengers to have the right motives and help protect you from your enemies, who would do anything to get back the asset they lost? Or are the Avengers using you, too, wanting to keep you on a leash as their personal weapon? Figuring out who to trust when your entire past is haunted memories leaves you confused and desperate to figure out what you want from life and how you are going to achieve it. On the journey to just that, maybe friends, and even love, could guide you to your answer.
After a storm causes you to expose your power, the Avengers want you to join them.
