"Remember these words, Charles!" Max shouted after him, making the Monegasque instinctively pull his head into his shoulders and quicken his pace, breaking into a run, splashing through puddles with his dirty sneakers. "Because one day you’ll carry my surname!"

Summary
Max Verstappen is a botanist who enjoys traveling alone to remote corners of the world in search of unique fern life.
During a trip to New Zealand, he meets Charles Leclerc, an independent photographer with no common sense, who jumps into the wilderness with only a camera and enough supplies for three days.
Out of humanitarian concern, Max reluctantly agrees to bring him along. At first, Charles’s endless questions annoy Max, who prefers the company of plants over people, but soon he finds himself drawn to Charles's boundless energy and creative mind.
The brief journey leads to an unexpected bond, and despite planning to part ways after their mission, neither of them is ready to say goodbye.Bookmarked by aphtintin

Summary
Max Verstappen
Bookmarked by aphtintin

Summary
Max pulled Charles’s wallet out of his own hoodie pocket and tossed it onto the table with a soft thump. "You’re lucky I’m the one living with you. Anyone else would have let you starve."
"I hate you," Charles whispered, though the words lacked their usual sting.
Max just leaned closer, his voice low enough that only Charles could hear it over the bar’s music. "No, you don't. You’re just annoyed because I'm right. Again."
or
the one where Max leaves a post-it note for everything, and Charles is slowly realizing that every single one of them says I love you.
