For whatever reason, he didn't understand that Dickie wanted him, not someone else; she didn't want anybody but him.
Jaye was supposed to be her alpha, and yet, here he was: ignoring all her flirting and advances. Either he was pulling a prank, or the alpha was just that dense.

Lately, her feelings towards the alpha had been acting out, almost as if she didn't have any kind of control over them; her first thought was, obviously, to detach. Not only was Jaye her younger sibling, but he also didn't feel the same way about her, especially seeing how the woman would avoid her like the plague. Well, let's backtrack a bit; he wasn't avoiding her like the plague, but he wasn't scared of whining and moaning about how Dickie would never let him have some time for himself.
And after a while, the omega felt like her will to make friends with the alpha was slowly fading away, leaving only the foolish hope to, one day, approach Jaye and actually confess her feelings.
So what better way to detach herself from the alpha than by finding him a new girlfriend?
Dickie would've called it a stroke of genius if now she wasn't looking at the scene she had in front of her and seething silently.

It was a bit unfair how nice Dick looked in the fairy lights. Jason shouldn't be as distracted as he was by the way the lights surrounded the man in halo like glow. Seeing him caught in those warm lights got him feeling all warm and buzzy inside. Just looking at him and as an heavy challenge but then every time he felt those warm hands on his shoulders or brushing against his hips so casually felt like he was being struck again and again by those fucking escrima sticks.Bookmarked by arakhnoidsilk
