Summary
When Julie landed her position as a songwriter at the Hollywood Ghost Club, her boss offered to pull some strings to get her a discounted apartment nearby. He talked about the place’s excellent acoustics and how a bunch of his most talented souls enjoyed the atmosphere.
Unfortunately, he did not mention the drafty windows.
Or the faulty wiring.
Or the ghost chilling in her fridge.
His name is Luke, and her apartment used to be his before he died.

Summary
“Lucy,” he said gently.
Her brow furrowed.
She looked at him the way someone looks at a stranger who has walked into the wrong room, her eyes searching his face without recognition, without familiarity, without even the faintest flicker of comfort. There was no softening in her expression, no easing of tension in her shoulders, no quiet relief that usually came whenever she saw him after a bad call. Instead, her gaze stayed guarded and uncertain, as if she were trying to understand why this unfamiliar man was standing so close to her hospital bed, speaking to her in a voice that sounded far too intimate for someone she didn’t know.
Then she spoke, her voice hoarse from screaming and disuse, fragile but steady enough to carry across the short distance between them.
“Who are you?”

Summary
Chenford AU
Lucy thought she knew what forever was supposed to look like — until the night she’s asked to choose it.
This is a story about almosts. About the wrong timing, the right person, and the things you don’t call cheating until it’s too late.
———
“That’s all this is. Everything feels heavier after a few too many.
Lucy has always laughed when Tim got too close. Always shoved him off with an eye roll, called him dramatic, told him to knock it off. He’d sling an arm around her shoulders, pick her up without warning, invade her space just to hear her protest. It had always been easy. Predictable. Automatic. The two of them orbiting each other without ever thinking about it.”
