Summary
Simon swears he died on the SM-13, but apparently a ship saved him. Apparently an old ship that's freakishly new, and full of dead people and a comatose man who'll wake up soon.
He crafts a plan. He'll just beg the doctor to let him stay! The guy's pilot is dead, so he'll need a pilot! Genius.
And then the doctor doesn't remember... Anything. So to save some difficulty, Simon simply says that, yes, HE is the pilot. Absolutely he belongs here.
But Doctor Grace slowly starts remembering things...

Summary
Trapped in a dying body, Rocky is delighted to realize the alien ship that just showed up has a spare body aboard. Unfortunately, after transferring their consciousness over to the spare, they learn three things.
First, this “spare body” is the only body on the ship, occupied or otherwise.
Second, therefore, somehow, the body itself is sapient.
Third, therefore, Rocky is faced with an impossible dilemma. Keep a sapient being trapped in its own body, or vacate the body, thereby killing themself and dooming all of Erid.
There really is only one choice.
Grace is being possessed by an alien. Sometimes “generously” allowed to do what he wants, but never allowed to run, he struggles to learn the language of his possessor so he can beg it for release. In the meantime, he’s an emotional mess.
And if he’s never been possessed before, then why is this feeling of helplessness so familiar?

Summary
Inspired by a tumblr post by @goldenaltar about a no astrophage/space diplomacy AU I literally could NOT stop thinking about since I first read it.
The first collaboration between eridians and humans involves planning for a proper first contact, out in space so their respective interstellar trip times are cut (approximately) in half. Grace was conscripted for ‘Project Neighborhood’ as one of many biologists on the team. He sneaks out to the tunnel connecting their ships after hours to try and catch a glimpse of a Real Life Alien - and there's an eridian on the other side who has the exact same idea.
When their sneaking around catches up to them, they're forced to consider the implications of all this sneaking around, and maybe lean into them a little to keep from being thrown out the nearest airlock - or starting an intergalactic war.

He freezes, confused. Because that's Grace, he's sure, knows his heartbeat better than he knows Adrian's voice, but it also isn't.
This human is small, his hair is different a little longer where Grace's has been cut. His glasses are different, a little wider, bigger on his face.
And then the Short Grace is screaming, tripping over his own feet in his hurry to back away from Rocky, something crashes to the floor rolling away from Short Grace's hands.
OR
Rocky gets transported to Earth, where Grace is 14 years old, living with his older brother's Courtland and Colt. He needs to find a way back home, to his Grace, with only the help of a middle schooler. What could go wrong.
