Summary
Ilya Rozanov is the founder of the Irina Foundation, which battles the barbaric, antiquated treatment of Omegas across North America. For years, he has worked tirelessly to change restrictive laws created by Alphas to uphold a toxic system, rescuing Omegas who have been sold for breeding and sex work.
An unexpected call leads to the discovery of two kidnapped Omegas, and Ilya's world is slowly upended. Humanity has shown itself to have a vile underbelly, and this work has taken its toll on him. But maybe there's solace to be found in the recently rescued Omega he can't stop thinking about, with the most beautiful dark eyes and freckles he's ever seen.

Shane: I don't trust Alphas.
"I know that too. Believe it or not, I am quite stubborn. I know you are familiar with this." Ilya watched Shane's nostrils flare. "For as long as it takes, I will work every day until you believe me. Even if it takes years. Even if it's the rest of our lives. I will prove you wrong. I swear."

Summary
“What is this? Hollander does not have his own team?” He directs the question at Pike, and is surprised by the fury and guilt on his face.
“You can’t tell anyone, but…” Pike looks like he’d rather eat glass than admit whatever he’s about to say, but an angry grumble from Hollander seems to snap his priorities into place. “The team’s never been great about Shane being an omega. Even if one of them was willing to help, I wouldn’t trust them with him.”
Hollander whimpers, eyes meeting Ilya’s as his head rolls forward.
“Rozanov,” Hollander whines.
“And then there’s that,” Marleau says.
Or; The day after leaving Ilya heartbroken on his couch, Shane goes into heat unexpectedly after a game against Boston. Ilya’s not equipped to handle Shane on his own, but fortunately for both of them, the Raiders are more than willing to lend a hand—or a mouth—to help their captain out.

Drapeau just laughs as he shoves Shane down with his knee, hands still restraining his wrists and in his hair. He presses Shane's face into the bench. 'Stay down, omega, or you'll get hurt.'
Shane continues to struggle, but the situation is quickly dawning on him. He's bent over a bench, restrained, and no one is telling Drapeau to knock it off, or responding to his yelling, or trying to help him out of the holds. No one is coming to save him. His mind races as he tries to remember who else is in the locker room. At least ten others- a bit less than half the team. Not a single sympathetic face flashes in his mind; in fact, only the worst of the offenders from the past week were in the locker room. He hadn't noticed, naively putting on a brave face and trying to convince himself that nothing was going to happen. No Hayden, no JJ, not even Mitika, who he thinks (hopes) wouldn't have let this happen to him. No starstruck rookies. Only the veterans of the team, many older than him. The ones that have always felt freest to disregard his authority.
Or: Shane's status as an omega was leaked last week, and the team's been weird since then. Surely none of them will actually hurt him, though, right?
